Ivy Tech Community College’s Bloomington campus is now offering tuition-free certification programs in addiction studies and biotechnology, leading to high-demand careers in counseling and local life sciences manufacturing. Eligible students can earn a tuition-free certificate through Indiana’s Next Level Jobs, paid for by the Workforce Ready Grant.
Ivy Tech’s addiction studies certificate can be completed in as little as two semesters and leads to professional certification from the National Association for Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors (NAADAC). The certificate in addiction studies is flexible and can be completed entirely online.
Biotechnology certifications are short-term, 18 credit hour programs, and are available in biopharmaceutical manufacturing, medical device quality, and regulatory affairs. Biotechnology certificates are also flexible, with the majority of classes being offered online for ease of completion while maintaining full time employment.
“The job market in biotechnology and with local life sciences companies is growing at an incredible rate,” Sarah Cote, Dean over biotechnology programs said. “Ivy Tech biotech certificate students are finding jobs before they even graduate.”
