TERRE HAUTE – Ivy Tech Community College Terre Haute recently hosted its annual Chancellor’s Club Dinner, an evening dedicated to celebrating the College’s partnerships and the individuals and organizations that help drive student success across West Central Indiana.
The event welcomed Dr. Marty Pollio, Ivy Tech’s new president, who shared his vision for the future of the College and how Ivy Tech will continue to strengthen communities through education and workforce alignment.
“This event highlights Ivy Tech’s dedication to nurturing meaningful connections between education, industry, and our communities,” said Alia Shuck, Ivy Tech Terre Haute’s vice chancellor of development and marketing. “The support of our community partners is instrumental in creating opportunities and building a brighter future for all, and this event celebrates that.”
During the evening, Ivy Tech Terre Haute recognized Saturn Petcare as the 2025 Outstanding Alumni Employer for its innovative apprenticeship program and commitment to workforce development. The partnership provides high-performing Saturn Petcare employees with tuition-free education in Industrial Technology, enabling them to earn a credential while making a livable wage. This initiative not only empowers individuals but also strengthens the local economy by developing a skilled workforce to meet industry demands.
Saturn Petcare’s recognition follows other recent honors presented by Ivy Tech Terre Haute, highlighting the College’s ongoing appreciation for the many individuals and organizations contributing to its mission.
Distinguished Alumni: Erin McEnery
Erin McEnery, a graduate of Ivy Tech’s Criminal Justice program, was honored as a Distinguished Alumni for her exceptional achievements and community impact. After relocating from New Jersey, Erin quickly became an integral part of the West Central Indiana community while pursuing her associate degree at Ivy Tech. She continued her academic journey at Indiana State University, earning both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in criminology and criminal justice while advancing her career in public service. Erin now serves as a transitional healthcare facilitator at the Putnamville Correctional Facility, exemplifying the values of hard work, integrity, and lifelong learning that Ivy Tech instills in its students.
Benefactor of the Year: Wabash Valley Community Foundation
The Wabash Valley Community Foundation was recognized as Benefactor of the Year for its unwavering support of Ivy Tech and its students. Over the past three decades, the Foundation has provided nearly $400,000 in funding, including critical support for initiatives like the Recovery Scholars Program, which helps students in recovery discover their purpose through meaningful careers.
