Explore Financial Aid

Worried about the cost of college? Financial aid can help! 78% of Ivy Tech students are awarded financial aid like scholarships, grants, and Federal-Work study. Aid is based on different factors, like financial need, academic achievement, and program of interest. Even if you don’t think you qualify for aid, you should still explore your options! Ivy Tech’s scholarship finder makes it easy to filter scholarships and see what’s out there.

And don’t forget to file your FAFSA as soon as possible using Ivy Tech’s school code — 009917. The FAFSA is used by Ivy Tech and the state to determine how much aid you’re eligible for.

  • As you work toward a long-term certification or associate degree, you may be able to pick up extra credentials along the way! Many of Ivy Tech’s programs can be broken into a series of smaller units like industry certificates, which you can earn along the way to something bigger. This means you can already start to qualify for more workforce opportunities before graduation, and your resume will stand out with more qualifications!

  • It’s hard to fit college into your schedule — we get it! That’s why Ivy Tech offers a variety of class formats like traditional, online, virtual, and blended. Options vary depending on program, but some can even be completed entirely online. That way, you can find the class that best fits your learning preferences and lifestyle.

To give you even more freedom, a majority of Ivy Tech’s classes are formatted for 8-week terms, instead of traditional 16-week semesters. Shorter terms give you greater flexibility throughout the year and offer more start times, so you can pick up classes during the time that work best for you. And with shorter classes, you can focus on fewer subjects at a time and maximize your success.

  • If you’re interested in pursuing a bachelor’s degree, Ivy Tech can also help you get started! We have transfer agreements with over 100 colleges and universities, so you can save money by spending a year or two at Ivy Tech, then transferring to a four-year institution. Not only that, we have Guaranteed Admissions agreements across dozens of programs, so qualifying students can study with confidence knowing their credits will be automatically accepted and they can begin as a junior at their intended institution.
