- Perform scheduled weekly custodial cleaning of assigned spaces at the Rushville City Center.
- Monitor facility conditions and report maintenance or safety concerns to Facilities leadership.
- Safely use approved cleaning chemicals, tools, and equipment in accordance with training and SDS.
- Secure the building as required after completing assigned duties.
- Follow all Ivy Tech policies related to safety, conduct, and campus access.
- Provide courteous customer service to campus users when encountered.
- All other duties as assigned, consistent with the scope and level of responsibility of this position.
Required:
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Dependable, punctual, and reliable attendance.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, bending, lifting, and pushing equipment.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Preferred:
- Prior custodial or cleaning experience.
- Experience working in a commercial, educational, or public facility.
- Indoor educational facility environment.
- Exposure to standard custodial chemicals, cleaning equipment, and noise.
- Frequent bending, lifting, standing, and repetitive motion.
- Limited public interaction during scheduled cleaning hours.
Reports directly to the Executive Director of Facilities for the Richmond Service Area or designee.
