Student Work-Study: Ivy+ Career Link

Federal Work-Study positions are part-time roles available each semester for current Ivy Tech students.

The Career Link Work-Study student supports the daily operations of Ivy+ Career Link, which helps students with career exploration, resumes, job searches, and employer connections.

In this role, the student will serve as the first point of contact for visitors and assist with basic office tasks. Responsibilities may include greeting students and employers, answering questions, scheduling appointments, assisting with events, and providing general administrative support to the Career Link team.

Minimum Position Qualifications

  • Projects positive image for Ivy Tech Community College
  • Display a professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Demonstrate a strong ability to communicate effectively and efficiently verbally and electronically.
  • Excellent word processing and spreadsheet computing skills in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace are required.
  • Great organizational skills.
  • The ability to multi-task.
  • Responsible for meeting project deadlines.
  • Must exhibit excellent interpersonal communication, telephone, confidentiality, and customer service skills.
  • Participate as a member in a team environment.
  • Provide excellent customer service to students, employers, and other Career Link stakeholders.
  • Answer phone calls to students/employers to remind them of upcoming appointments, data entry, front desk reception, walk-in student assistance, event preparation, and implementation.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Starting Salary Range: $15.00 per hour

Minimum Federal Work Study Qualifications:

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED.
  • Student must have completed current FAFSA on file demonstrating financial need.
  • Maintain a minimum of 6 credit hours of enrollment in eligible courses.
  • Maintain an aid-eligible Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) status.
  • Student cannot have any incomplete financial aid requirements.
