The A Hand-Up Scholarship is established to support students enrolled at the Bloomington campus of Ivy Tech Community College. It is intended to be used as a means of removing financial barriers that might prevent them from persisting in coursework or completing their education.

The Robbie Chapman III Fire Science Endowed Scholarship was established by Barbara and Lee Chapman to honor the legacy of their son, Robbie Chapman III, who was a student in the Fire Science program at Ivy Tech Community College Bloomington. This fund is intended to provide assistance to students who demonstrate financial need, an interest in pursuing fire science as a career, and a passion to be good stewards and citizens of their community.

  • Preference will be given to applicants who are children of current or retired, local firefighters.
  • Preference will be given to students who participated in the Hoosier Hills program.

The Stars and Stripes Scholarship is designed to support the men and women of the United States Armed Forces, National Guard, Selected Reserve and Coast Guard while they are attending Ivy Tech Community College in Bloomington, Indiana. Priority shall be given to members of the Student Veteran Organization at Ivy Tech Community College in Bloomington. This scholarship is awarded in the spring semester.

The Tom Kinzer Memorial Scholarship is created by Ivy Tech Community College in memory of faculty member Thomas Earl Kinzer, who served the Bloomington campus of Ivy Tech from 2008 to 2016. Throughout his life Tom distinguished himself at all levels of education, including at Owen Valley High School in Spencer, Indiana, where he taught English, mentored journalism students and served in faculty leadership for over 30 years.
