Steps to Get Started

  • MyIvy is where all of your student data is stored,* access to your email, your online learning platform IvyLearn, and more.

    1. Have your C# and Ivy Tech email ready. This is your Ivy Tech identification number. You would have received it in your first email from Ivy Tech congratulating you on being accepted.
    2. Go to myivy.ivytech.edu and click the blue “First time here” button and follow the directions from there.

    *Please note that these instructions are for current Guild Ivy Tech students. If you are not enrolled, but are interested in learning more about Guild and Ivy Tech’s partnership to connect employers and Ivy Tech, in order to offer free or low-cost college degrees to employees, please contact Joseph Binkley, Director of Employer Services, at 812-492-0175.

  • If you did not have transcripts available to upload, you will need to complete the Knowledge Assessment in order make sure you are taking the correct Math and English courses. Your Enrollment Specialist+ can help you get started. Email IvyGuild@ivytech.edu  

    After you complete your Knowledge Assessment, you are ready to meet with an advisor from your Academic field of study.

  • For assistance with scheduling an advising appointment to set up your Academic Completion Plan and your classes each semester, email IvyGuild@ivytech.edu.

All classes will be accessed through the IvyOnline platform in IvyLearn, which can be searched for on MyIvy or go directly to IvyLearn. 

Books and Other Class Materials

You will receive an email from the Ivy Tech Bookstore (Barnes & Noble) within 24 hours of registering for your classes. You must approve the class materials listed in order to receive them. More information.

Resources

Completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is important because you may qualify for aid that will assist you in obtaining your college credential or degree.

Information to have on hand when completing your FAFSA includes:

  • Current federal tax information
  • SAT/ACT/PSAT scores if you have taken any
  • Transcripts from high school or other colleges
  • Photo ID
  • DD214 for Veterans

MyIvy is where you can find all pertinent information for current students at Ivy Tech including you C number (upper left-hand corner of screen) and IvyLearn links.

Your class materials will be available through the Ivy Tech Bookstore. Once you have registered for class, keep an eye on your Ivy Tech email for information from Barnes & Noble. The email will be sent within 24 hours of registering. It will include your schedule and textbook confirmation details.

You must confirm in the Barnes & Noble Ivy+ Textbooks Portal in order to receive the texts.
