Get affordable childcare while you go to class! Ivy Tech Community College recently partnered with the YMCA of Greater Fort Wayne to provide a childcare option exclusively for students and employees. 

You do not have to be a YMCA member for your child to participate.

Our pricing has changed (see breakdown below), but students could potentially get YMCA Childcare for free at Ivy Tech when they apply for a voucher.* To get started, email our Student Resource Center at fortwayne-ivycares@ivytech.edu.

Fall Semester (08/19 to 12/20)

Options include full-day and half-day care for infants, toddlers, and preschool ages.

  • Eligibility

    • Children can now use services for a full 8-hour session.
    • Students and employees DO NOT need to be on campus for their children to receive care.
    • Ivy Tech's YMCA Childcare accepts children between the ages of 6 weeks to 10 years old.
    • Student parents MUST be registered and attending classes during the semester their child(ren) uses the services.

    Rules

    • Childcare is available on a first come, first serve basis.
    • Services are only available to 18 children, including four infants, at a time.
    • Priority goes to those using the services regularly. 
    • Parents must pack lunches for their children if using Full Day services.

  • student Registration Pricing

    Voucher Program: Students may be eligible to receive vouchers for free childcare. Just contact the Student Resource Center at fortwayne-ivycares@ivytech.edu , and we'll help you apply.

    Each age group has a one-time registration fee of $50 for one child or $60 for a family.

  • full day employee registration pricing

    • For one child: $3250 (FULL DAY Session throughout a 16-week semester)
      • Includes $200 a week for care + $50 registration fee
        • Additional children at $25
      • There is also an additional $200 deposit

  • Fall Hours:

    Monday-Thursday: 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

    Friday: 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. (Closed every other Friday)
