What is Advising?

Academic Advising serves to help students set and complete their programs and/or academic goals by building relationships within their student success network. At Ivy Tech we want each student to make well-informed decisions as they progress towards the completion of their academic goals.

Our Philosophy

The Ivy Tech Indianapolis Office of Academic Advising is committed to the holistic development of students through a welcoming, solution-oriented environment. We aim to create a positive educational experience for students through developing supportive relationships and serving as knowledgeable navigators in your Ivy Tech experience. Academic advising is not merely a transactional process but a transformative experience that fosters personal and intellectual growth and consistent student-centered service.
