Through the Semiconductor Certificate and the Electronics and Computer Technology degree, students gain hands-on training in semiconductor fabrication, cleanroom environments, and advanced electronics systems. These programs are designed to meet industry needs while equipping graduates with versatile skills for careers in semiconductor manufacturing and the broader electronics and technology sectors.

Build job-ready skills in semiconductor fabrication and advanced electronics.

Ivy Tech Lafayette is home to a developing cleanroom lab where students gain hands-on experience in semiconductor fabrication, packaging, and assembly. As part of the Semiconductor Certificate and related technology programs, students train in a controlled, industry-standard environment designed to mirror real-world semiconductor manufacturing settings.

The cleanroom features equipment and processes commonly used in semiconductor research and production, providing students with practical skills that translate directly to careers in microchip manufacturing and advanced electronics.
