TRIO Mission Statement
The Federal TRIO Programs are federally funded programs that provide outreach and student services designed to ensure equal educational opportunities for individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds. Collectively, TRIO programs provide services, such as academic tutoring, personal counseling, mentoring, financial guidance, and other support to income-eligible families and potential first-generation students for educational access and retention. Ivy Tech Community Colleges host three of TRIO’S college access and preparatory programs: Student Success Services, Talent Search, and Upward Bound.
