Conversational English

This instructor-led course is designed to help non-native English speakers develop practical relevant communication skills. Using customized instructional materials and contextualized language practice, participants will build the ability to recall and apply essential functional language needed to effectively interact with English-speaking clients, coworkers, supervisors, and community members. The course emphasizes real-world communication scenarios commonly encountered in the workplace and everyday environments.

  1. Demonstrate the use of functional English language skills in routine workplace and community-based conversations.

  2. Effectively bridge communication gaps between English-speaking and non-English-speaking individuals in professional and social settings.

  3. Contribute to an equitable, inclusive, and respectful environment through improved communication practices.

  4. Enhance overall communication effectiveness and cultural competence in diverse workplace and community contexts.

Employee registration is coordinated by the Program Manager supporting your training. Depending on the course, employees may register in person, through an organization-provided roster, or via a self-registration link. Your Program Manager will guide you through the best option for your specific training.
