TUTORING CENTER FAQ

    • Click Schedule an Appointment above. This will launch our appointment booking website.

    • Click “Schedule an Appointment or Search for Availability” to open the appointment search tool

    • Choose a subject by selecting the course you’d like tutoring for and a reason for your upcoming visit. If you need help with something outside of your courses, select “Other.” If you select Other, please leave a note about what you’d like assistance with so we can match you to the right tutor for your needs. 

    • Click search to view available appointment times, then select the session that works best

    • Select whether the appointment is in-person or virtual

    • Click save to confirm your appointment

    • Watch your Ivy Tech email inbox for an immediate appointment confirmation message and additional instructions for accessing your tutoring session. You will also receive a reminder email before your scheduled appointment

    • IF THERE ARE NO APPOINTMENTS AVAILABLE, CONTACT sellersburg-tutoring@ivytech.edu FOR ASSISTANCE.

  • Appointments are always encouraged, but we do allow drop ins. We have math and writing tutors available Monday-Thursday 9 AM - 6 PM and Friday 9 AM - 12 PM. All other subjects have limited availability. Online (Zoom) tutoring MUST be scheduled in advance.

  • Yes! We offer one-on-one online tutoring via Zoom. We also offer 24/7 tutoring on-demand via Brainfuse. Click “Free Online Tutoring” in your course IvyLearn page, or in IvyLearn go to Resources > IvyLearn Student Resource Center > Free Online Tutoring.

  • Contact sellersburg-tutoring@ivytech.edu for assistance. Please let us know your name and what course/problem you’re needing help with and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can.
