Health, Safety, and Nutrition Skilled Micro-Credential

This course introduces entry-level early childhood educators to essential health, safety, and nutrition practices in early learning environments. Participants will learn strategies for maintaining safe and healthy classrooms, preventing illness and injury, responding to emergencies, and supporting children’s physical well-being. The course also explores basic nutrition principles, healthy eating habits, and the role of educators in promoting lifelong wellness for young children. Emphasis is placed on meeting licensing standards and creating nurturing, developmentally appropriate environments.

This class is currently free through a generous grant from the Lilly Foundation.

Employee registration is coordinated by the Program Manager supporting your training. Depending on the course, employees may register in person, through an organization-provided roster, or via a self-registration link. Your Program Manager will guide you through the best option for your specific training.
