Employee registration is coordinated by the Program Manager supporting your training. Depending on the course, employees may register in person, through an organization-provided roster, or via a self-registration link. Your Program Manager will guide you through the best option for your specific training.
These modules examine the foundational elements of literacy—reading, writing, and oral language—and explore how educators can nurture young children's literacy identities through authentic, play-based experiences that spark motivation and joy. Participants will learn to recognize developmentally appropriate literacy engagements for children, birth through age 5, observe and document children's growth over time, and define intentional noticing and naming strategies that promote literacy skill development. The course emphasizes the critical partnership between educators and families in supporting each child's unique literacy journey. (Application of course content may be completed via video-based observation experiences, with an individual child, or within a classroom placement, if employed at the site.)
